Bastian, Bandra-based culinary destination presents an all new evolved dining experience at Bombay Dyeing Mills Compound, Worli. The venue includes some stunning features like a 28-foot tall bar, accessible by a delicately designed elevator. The outlet recreates the environment of chic holiday destinations from around the world.
The pronounced quasi-Asian and Californian flavours that define the Bastian menu have now spread wings to take on an inclusive global hue. Mexican, Latin American, Colonial & European influences have been intricately worked into a vastly expanded menu spread that is both vegetarian & vegan friendly. Perhaps the inclusion to look forward to most would be the robata grill menu, which features several grilled plates, prepared in Bastian’s signature unconventional style. The Bar offering has leapfrogged an entire generation in a heartbeat. It’s mature yet sassy and elegant yet fun!
Menu Highlights :
The menu features crispy sesame garlic tofu salad, buffalo chicken salad, salmon jalapeno with norwegian salmon, jalapeno and ponzu among others. The littles on the menu include avocado poke with avocado, cucumber, onion, soy-sesame dressing, rice cracker and edamame hummus, vegetarian chili dumplings, chicken larb wraps with coriander, chili, scallions, lime, mint, toasted rice inside cabbage wraps, lobster dynamite with butter-poached lobster with ghost chili aioli over sushi rice and more.
Don’t miss the Bastian style large plates that include, vegan dynamite with vegan mock meat and ghost chili aioli over crispy rice; sticky pork belly with soy caramel, scallions and pickled chili; mini bastian boil with prawns and lobster, smoked chicken or pork sausage with Bastian curry seasoning and garlic butter emulsion alongside staples & sides like: Malaysian noodles; lobster bacon kimchi fried rice with butter-poached lobster; freshly baked Hawaiian dinner rolls with garlic butter and parmesan; house-made sourdough and more.
The robata grill menu features several grilled plates, prepared in Bastian’s signature unconventional style. Choose from king mushrooms with mushroom duxelles and teriyaki glaze; charred teriyaki broccoli; chicken thighs with scallions and yakitori glaze; lamb chops with chimichurri; lobster tail with miso garlic butter with lemon.
